Anakin von Arzfeld is a stunning 18 month old German Shepherd. He is a big and very endearing boy sporting a marvelous long coat and an even bigger heart. Tall and weighing approx. 90 pounds, this friendly, good-natured guy is always ready to brighten your day, and he so wants to please. There is something so touching about watching Anakin bond with a new friend as you can see it in his pictures with one of our volunteers. It was hard for her to take him back into the kennel at the end of the day, he didn’t want to leave her. They sat together for hours, any move she made he looked at her so adoringly. Mid-energy Anakin eagerly leaves his kennel ready to mingle and meet everyone. He is an absolute superstar in playgroups where his tail never stops wagging; he shows potential to play with other canine friends, and truly steals the spotlight by checking in constantly with the people. Gentle when receiving treats, he already knows "sit" and "paw," and he boasts excellent recall, making sure to come right back to whoever whistles to him in playgroups. Anakin is an old soul in a young body.He seems bigger than life, like a once in a lifetime dog. Come meet him and you will understand! (No cats please.)
